John, Johnny, Jon, Jack’, Jjaks, Jane, Jones, Jesus and Keanu:
The Keanu-Connection to John the Baptist, Jesus Christ
and the Hidden History of Early Christianity
This chapter is all about questioning the early history of Christianity - as suggested by the characters and actions of the movie version of Johnny Mnemonic. Accordingly there's lots of images of Jesus and related religious/mythological characters in this picture - w/ a little bit of Johnny Mnemonic too.
In the bottom half of the page we see John the Baptist and Jesus squaring - with a kinda decapitated Johnny Mnemonic and a 'bathtub-baptised Rachel Weisz between them.
Jumping up to the top half of the page we have a 'terminator'/Jesus-like crucified robot with '?' for a face.
this mysterious robo-Jesus is surrounded by similar "crucified" savior figures from other closely related Mediterranean "pagan" religions of the time - and they are all surrounded by the twelve constellations of the Zodiac.
There is also a big Sun-like orb in the background of all of these figures - with its rays extending out to the Zodiac band.
The robo-Jesus seems to be emerging from a basket atop the head of a long-haired bearded dude. That dude's face is in fact based upon an ancient sculptures of Serapis the most popular composite dying-rising deity of Egyptian Alexandria back in early Christian days.
Serapis' head is in turn flanked by the Ancient Egyptian deities Horus and Anubis - influential figures that a number of scholars claim were prototypes for characters in the Christian story.
Back up near the top of the page are various words and symbols suggesting some early Christian word encodings as well as a couple symbols emphasizing the connection between the popular Christian 'Fish' symbol and the Astrological Age and Sign of Pisces.
At the opposite top left corner is an illustration of one of the depiction of the popular Meso-American savior deity Quetzalcoatl crucified.
And now - back to the bottom of the page, behind John the Baptist is Leonardo da Vinci's depiction of the Baptist with his characteristic upwards pointing finger. Below him is a depiction of the baptism rites of the long-surviving Gnostic sect the Mandaeans who hold John the Baptist as their chief savior-teacher figure.
Behind Jesus is the head of Apolonius of Tyana the Pythagorean savior figure and contemporary of Jesus lifetime whose life story matches many of the features of the stories of both Jesus and the Apostle Paul.
Then there's the two other dudes - each with funny hats: a Pope (John Paul II I believe) and Osiris the Ancient Egyptian teacher and savior god.
That's about it, Oh yeah, there's Mithra in a cave in there somewhere too and Masonic, Priory of Sion and Templar symbols in there above John - as those organizations have all long held the Baptist as a very special figure.
